Q. How do I become a student at Nepal Sangeet Vidhyalaya

A. All you have to do is come to Nepal Music Center with two passport-sized photos and fill out the necessary paperwork. An admission fee of Rs. 500 is charged per class, plus a refundable deposit of Rs. 800 (Rs. 1000 for dance classes and Rs. 1500 for salsa), and a monthly fee of Rs. 800 per class (Rs. 1000 for all dance classes).

Q. What is Nepal Music Center Trust?
A. Nepal Music Center Trust (NMC)
is a non-profit organization established by Music Nepal to undertake non-commercial activities in the fields of music and culture. In collaboration with Rikskonsertene (The Norwegian Concert Institute), NMC works to preserve, teach, and promote the musics and dances of Nepal at the national, regional, and international levels. As such, its four areas of focus are music education; research, documentation, preservation and dissemination; international exchange; and the promotion of local musicians. Its activities are guided by an advisory body which functions as a steering committee for the development of the center. Members of advisory council are drawn from among distinguished personalities from different fields, including music, music education, business, and ethnomusicology.
